Here in the Harrison-Woodruff household we have many exciting things.  Like this, our most unique and exciting pet.

Yes, I'm talking about the fish. Can't see him? Look closely, there by the roots of the plant. I know, he looks tranquil and sedate, but looks can be deceiving.

This is a Siamese Fighting Fish (beta splendens). Vicious to the core. Ready to take anything and anyone on! Grrrr!  Grrrr!  Grrrr! Fierce fish! Aren't you glad he's trapped in that glass cage? He could do you real damage!

Oh, the plant? It's one of those magical prison things. No ordinary plant can hold the likes of the Fierce Fighting Fish. (Nor could our house be home to just any plant!) No, this plant must be imbued with great power. There's probably some mystic verse somewhere that goes something like this:

Beware the Fierce Fighting Fish!
Beware!
Held in place by a living, magic seal!
Beware!

Or something like that. In any case, captured here in living color (and at a safe viewing distance) is proof that the Harrison Household lives life on the edge.
